About the Artwork

Presenting Shringeri Saradambal in all her glory, this is Chennai-based artist Lakshmi Krishnamurthy's largest Thanjavur work, measuring 7.5ft by 5ft and taking her over a year to bring to life. The original can be found in the hall of Shringeri Mutt in Mandaveli, Chennai. This is a limited-edition print offering based on the original work.

About the Artist
Former Head of Visual Arts at Kalakshetra and a distinguished national Tagore fellow, Lakshmi Krishnamurthy has devoted the past 45 years of her life to the exploration, research and creative interpretation of myriad pan-Indian artforms which culminate in a stunning visual thesis on her canvas.
